Description:
In the Bali region known as the Kintamani Highlands coffee farming has been a tradition since the 1900s. The area's volcanic soil and unique climate provide an environment for cultivating Arabica coffee beans. Balinese farmers use methods such as wet hulling, where beans are partly dried before hull removal resulting in an earthy and flavorful taste. Alongside processing, natural and washed methods are also employed. Coffee cultivation mainly occurs on family owned farms that integrate with crops showcasing a sustainable and diverse agricultural model that plays a significant role, in both local culture and economy.
